The Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce is in contact with local businesses about preparations for the season, and boat ramps and marinas are now open on LBI.

With this sense of optimism, we are carefully planning for the future as we remain thoughtful of the present.

We will be opening May 21, just in time for Memorial Day.

The Island Guest House is licensed and certified with certifications in food safety and cleanliness. We have always been committed to practicing the highest standards of cleanliness and will be taking extra precautions utilizing current CDC advice and recommendations. All staff have taken the Covid-19 Awareness Training Course and received their certificates.

Inn, Rooms, and Dining

  • In your room we may remove any linens which cannot be cleaned between each guest. This includes comforters, shams and throw pillows. We may triple sheet beds and provide both pillow protectors and fresh pillowcases and sheets. 

  • You may choose to cancel daily maid service if you would prefer no staff in your room during all or part of your stay. We are happy to provide fresh towels and amenities as needed. Rooms will be cleaned and disinfected with diligence prior to your check in including surfaces such as remote controls and air condition knobs.

  • Shared surfaces throughout the Inn such as door handles, railings, furniture, fixtures, and light switches will be disinfected thoroughly throughout the day.

  • Employees are required to wash their hands continuously throughout the day.

  • There will be plenty of space between tables, and possible staggered breakfast reservations to give us time to make sure your tables are pristinely clean for you.

  • We may be replacing the self-service first course buffet with breakfast that is served to you...although with the same yummy items!

  • Condiments like salt and pepper, cream cheese and jellies, and sugar may be individually wrapped to avoid handling bottles. Drinks will also be served individually.

  • Our china and silverware are always cleaned in a dishwasher of 180 degrees which is mandated by our certification.

  • We, the owners are on site managing everything daily. Our staff and Inn is very small with plenty of space for social distancing for your safety.

TEMPORARY SPRING 2020 CORONAVIRUS CANCELLATION POLICY

Here at the Island Guest House, we are taking the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic very seriously.

The unexpected happens. Our cancellation policy protects us as a small business with a limited number of rooms available. Trip Insurance protects you, the consumer, against the unexpected. We have always recommended that you consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance just in case.

  • Reservations made for the month of April, May or June 2020, can either be rescheduled or a 1 year Gift Certificate will be issued. Blackout dates will be in effect between July 1, 2020 and September 8, 2020 OR after July 1, 2021.
  • ** Reservations made for the month of July 2020, Our normal cancellation policy is still in effect at this time. We will continue to monitor Government restrictions for mandatory LBI beach closures due to the Coronavirus. If beach closures are not mandatory due to the Coronavirus, our normal cancellation policy will still remain in effect.

** If you book through an online travel agent (i.e Expedia, Booking.com) the cancellation must be made 60 days before your arrival date or the reservation is non-refundable). Reservations not through an online travel agent that and are cancelled, regardless of the reason, will result in a forfeiture of the total amount, however if the room is re-booked we will refund the room rate minus a 10% room service charge. There are no exceptions whether due to medical or family emergencies, inclement weather, missed or cancelled flights, etc.

There are no refunds of deposits for No-Show's or Early Departures. The reservation is the full responsibility of the guest.
