There are so many ways to go Fishing on Long Beach Island. You can go surf on the ocean beaches, fishing for Blue Fish or Stripers. You can go fishing on the bay for Snapper Blues, Blowfish, Weakfish, Kingfish, and of course, you can also go crabbing too!

If you don't have the patients for the fish to come to you, you can enjoy a Party Boat and you go to the fishing either in the ocean or in the bay. You can walk to the Party Boats here in Beach Haven. There are additional Party Boats in Barnegat Light, near the Lighthouse. It just depends on
what type of fish that you want to go fishing for.

It was definitely my bid for all around favorite of 2019 for our family.

Barnegat Lighthouse
Enjoy a panoramic view of Long Beach Island, and see as even see Atlantic City on a clear sunny day, when you make it to the top of the top Barnegat Lighthouse, also known as "Old Barney". There are 217 steps that you will need to concur in order to make it to the top, and NO there is not an elevator. The original lighthouse was built and illuminated in 1859 and restored in 2008. It was re-illuminated on January 1, 2009 - exactly 150 years to the day that it was originally lit in 1859 with a new modern lens.

The lighthouse is open daily from 10 AM to 4:30 PM (weather permitting) from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
